Colonists Vs. Native Americans
This is an image of an English settler brutally attacking a Native American in a battle in the early-1600's. There were many conflicts between these two groups, until the Treaty of 1646, which wrongfully banned Native Americans from their home territory in eastern Virginia.
This image portrays a victory of the British settlers over the Powhatan Native Americans in the early-1600's. At this time, Lord De La Warr took over control as leader of the Jamestown settlement. He implemented ideas that would force out the Indians into the western parts of what now is Virginia.
This image depicts relations between the British settlers and the native Powhatan Indians. The settlers carry their guns, showing their advantageous technologies. These advantages allowed the settlers to fight the Powhatans and control them to do what they want them to.
